I have spent the majority of my life in Kyoto, Japan. Growing up in one of the most beautiful places on earth informed my vision tremendously. I specialize in seeing things that only exist for a fleeting moment, things that would not otherwise be seen – and seeing things in a distinctly detailed way. My vision has also been formed with the energy of the world’s greatest metropolis – New York.
Meticulous detail, incredible vision, exactitude. Do not accept less than this.

I love M&Ms! Not the regular ones, but the ones with peanuts inside. If there’s one thing you should know about Pedro it is that if M&Ms were an illegal substance I would be in very deep trouble.
I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and raised by a widowed mother (Dad died when I was 8), with two other sisters, in a small town in a region called Ribeira Valley. I left home at the age of 15 searching for a better life. At the age of 22, I decided to move to the USA to further my education and improve myself as a human being.
I have won several awards as a photographer and my work has been published in a handful of magazines, however, I don’t think that defines who I am. What defines me is the fact that I am a hopeless believer in kindness, no matter how warped today’s world appears. I am also a failed-by-never-trying comedian, and dream of having a French Bulldog—they automatically trigger my “talking-to-a-baby” voice whenever I see one.
I also went to college—twice. I hold a Computer Sciences degree from a Sao Paulo, Brazil’s university, and a Communications & Advertising degree from Portland State University. I don’t perceive myself as brilliant because I hold two degrees, but rather as stubborn: I firmly believe no one should work at something for the rest of their life if their profession doesn’t make them happy. Photography started as a hobby to keep me busy in my free time. It became a passion when I started a project called “Careful: Soul Inside.” Ever since, framing moments has evolved into a passion that pays my bills. Whenever I am not working, I am taking pictures or watching movies while dissecting the light set up and color grading used in those movies. Some people would call me a workaholic, but the truth is that I never feel like I am working when I have a camera in my hand and a subject in front of me.
